Cart is oversized with not only the seat height but the shaft width made to accommodate a larger equine. But that is
only the beginning of what makes this cart so nice. I designed (with input from barb lee) and had the cart equipped with
axle draft (after market). I have to say that this improvement alone makes the cart the very
best riding cart of this type I have ever sat in. It is also so well
balanced that the shafts float in the tugs as I go down the road or
around in the ring. Rides and has shafts like a road cart but with
rear entry like a meadowbrook which makes for VERY easy entry.
Patent dash, chrome rein rail, chrome shaft tips, aluminum hub caps, aluminum wheels (only need spray paint to keep them looking great-a
$525 upgrade), 3 sets of removable seats cushions - each set has a wedge (whip) and flat (passenger) seat, one set of black tufted vinyl and two sets of
hunter green wool - one wedge taller than the other, spares box, extra step for easy entry, rear entry-split seat, hollow axle replaced with solid steel axle,
foot rest (probably a new copy of an antique), solid floor.
The base price of this vehicle is $3800 but that doesn't include the
up-sizing or the axle draft or the 2 sets of extra seats or any of
the tufting. I have over $5,000 into the cart with improvements and
upgrades, I would like to get $3,500 and I think it is a bargain at that price
because it is ready to go for the right sized equine. The cart is
located in Albany, NY. I would be willing to discuss delivery within
a reasonable distance for a reasonable cost.
